2.0 AGENDA: 27/09/2005

2.1 OBJECTIVE:
2.1.1 To create three major discussion topics (as outlined below) to facilitate the convention's objective (1.1.1).

2.2 CODIFICATION:
2.2.1 First stream of discussion to focus on suggestions for instruments/documents that are of constitutional importance to be discussed in comments section. This also includes any "unwritten" or hitherto unrecorded notions or principles which are nevertheless significant.
2.2.2 Instruments/documents upon which a consensus is formed will be added as a link under "Codification Project" heading in side bar if any such link exists.
2.2.3 The purpose of the discussion being to clarify the current "Crown" constitution to give a basis for discussion of a new constitution and to provide outlets to find methods of alteration to achieve minimal changes necessary to affect a republican constitution.

2.3 PREAMBLE:
2.3.1 Second stream of discussion to focus on the opening statement encapsulating the purposes, history, meanings, principles and objectives of any republican constitution.

2.4 REPUBLICAN CONSTITUTION:
2.4.1 Third stream of discussion to focus on the more radical elements of change to the political order not suited to the codification project.

2.5 ANONYMOUS COMMENTS ONLY

1.0 AGENDA: 11/08/2005

1.1 OBJECTIVE:
1.1.1 Create through inclusive and open discussion a draft democratic republican constitution for Aotearoa/New Zealand.

1.2 FORMAT:
1.2.1 Online through this blog. Suggestions put up, comments encouraged, consensus worked towards by moderator/chair.
1.2.2 To ensure that ideas rather than personalities are discussed all comments must be made anonymously. Any comments made un-anon. will be deleted.
1.2.3 Brevity and clarity to be preferred.

1.3 TIMELINE:
1.3.1 First round of discussion points, ie this agenda (1.0) to be decided by 31 August 2005.
1.3.2 Final text on the draft constitution to be decided on 5 February 2006 and publicly released on Waitangi Day.
1.3.3 A Waitangi round of whatever nature to follow.

1.4 DISCUSSION:
1.4.1 Preamble to the constitution discussed as a separate issue.
1.4.2 Ten other key issues of priority for discussion to be established.

4. Human rights.
